April is National Welding Month. In its honor, AWS is offering several promotions and activities.
-Bookstore (Figure 1). The AWS Bookstore will have a 15% discount off list and member prices for hard copies of the Welding Handbook or any of the Welding Handbook bundles. Shipping is excluded from the discount. Customers must email customerservice@aws.org or call the customer service team at (305) 443-9353, ext. 280, and reference code NWMHB21 to place the order under this promotion. The special pricing runs through the end of April 2021.
-Foundation (Figure 1). The AWS Foundation will provide 50% off of job listings on jobsinwelding.com.

-Education (Figure 2). Self-paced online courses will be available at a 15% discount throughout the month. Visit awo.aws.org/online-courses.
-Membership (Figure 2). As part of the Take The Torch membership recruitment campaign, the AWS Membership Department will hold a drawing — for a customized AWS helmet — for individuals who register to become an AWS member during the month of April.

In addition, the AWS Marketing Department plans to promote National Welding Month by sharing stories from the welding community, including AWS members and employees, on the Society’s social platforms; holding Instagram takeovers by prominent social media influencers; and hosting an Instagram Live event (Figure 3). The AWS National Welding Month logo has also been updated; go to aws.org/library/doclib/2021-NWM-Media-Kit.pdf to view and download more options (Figure 4). The hashtag for social campaigns will be #NWM2021.
