What's Happening at FABTECH 2022

MAIN BOOTH / The Main Booth at C11361 is where you can stop by to learn everything about the American Welding Society, speak to representatives from the organization, register for an AWS Membership, and more. While there, be sure to pick up some swag and enter our education giveaway for your chance to win a Kindle Fire with access to an online course.

AWS BOOKSTORE / The AWS Bookstore located at C11567 will be open for business. AWS is offering 40% off all AWS publications and toolkits purchased from the inventory on the show floor. Make sure to get your standards and codes publications, welding handbooks, and reference books while they’re available.

AWS BOOKSTORE GIVEAWAY / While at the AWS Bookstore booth, enter for a chance to win your choice of one of the following AWS publications: D 1.1:2020 Structural Welding Code – Steel or D 1.5:2020 Bridge Welding Code.

TAKE THE TORCH: 15 FOR 12 / As part of the Take the Torch campaign, register to become an AWS Member during FABTECH and receive a 15-month membership for the price of one year. Drop by the booth during show hours to join and become part of the future of welding.

YOUR WELDING STORY / Every welder has a story to tell, and we want to hear yours. Take our member's exclusive Your Welding Story survey so that we can get to know you before the big event and for a chance to have your welding story displayed at FABTECH.

CAREERS IN WELDING TRAILER / Stop by the newly designed AWS Foundation's Careers in Welding Mobile Exhibit and try your hand at virtual welding. Sponsored by Lincoln Electric, the 53-foot trailer will provide information about career opportunities in the welding field and a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship to get started on a career in welding. We're also giving away some AWS swag.

NETWORKING EVENTS / Throughout FABTECH, we'll be holding networking events where you can connect with AWS members and representatives, other welding professionals, and even some of your favorite welding influencers, like Stephanie Hoffman and Jason Becker.

THE WELDING JOURNAL'S CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION / We're paying homage to the Welding Journal's 100th anniversary during the AWS Opening Reception. Join us in Imperial Salon A at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel on Monday, November 7, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm as we relive some of our favorite editorial moments over the years.

MEET THE EDITORS: WELDING JOURNAL / On Wednesday, November 9, at 2 pm at the AWS Booth, meet the Welding Journal's editors, Kristin Campbell, and Carlos Guzman. Listen in as they honor 100 years of our flagship magazine and give a peak at the publication's future.

ARC JUNKIES LIVE PODCAST / Stop by the AWS booth every morning throughout the show for a special edition of the Arc Junkies Podcast. Broadcasting live, host Jason Becker and guests will discuss trending topics in the welding industry.

PANEL DISCUSSIONS / Join AWS as we cover topics relevant to welders of every level with a panel of experts in the industry. Panel discussions occur every show day at 11 am in Theater Space - Hall A. Topics include How to Add Welding Automation to Your Business, Questions You've Always Wanted to Ask a CWI, and The Benefits of Welding Competitions.

SOCIAL INFLUENCERS MEET AND GREET  / On Wednesday from 3-4 pm at the FABTECH theatre, join our host Sean Flottmann and meet some of the welding industry's top social influencers, including Stephanie Hoffman, Jason Becker, Chloe Hudson, and Rae Ripple. Join us as they share their stories and answer your questions. Be sure to hang back after the discussion, chat with your favorite influencers, and get a photo (or two).  

ARCS & ALES NETWORKING EVENT / Claim your spot for the Arcs & Ales networking event on Wednesday, November 9, from 6–10 pm at the New Realm Brewing Co. Brought to you by AWS and hosted by Stephanie Hoffman and Jason Becker, this can't miss event is where young and seasoned professionals gather for one great night of networking, light appetizers, and delicious ales.
